Magistrate Court

Magistrate Court handles the following matters:

  • Misdemeanor Offenses

Infractions cited by citation may be paid in full or set for a Court Trial, a trial before the Magistrate Judge only, not a Jury Trial. If you wish to plead not guilty to the charge(s) on your citation, fill out the back of your copy of the citation and send it to Power County Magistrate Court, 543 Bannock Avenue, American Falls, Idaho, 83211. The Court will then schedule the matter for a Court Trial and a court date will be mailed to you. You must appear on the date scheduled or further action may be taken.

Citations may be paid to the Power County Magistrate Court at 543 Bannock Avenue, American Falls, Idaho, 83211, by personal check, money order, cashier’s check, Visa or Mastercard, or cash. Please make personal checks, cashier’s checks and money orders payable to “Power County Magistrate Court.”  The above-named credit cards are accepted; however, an additional $3.00 service fee will be assessed. Please DO NOT SEND CASH in the mail. If a receipt is requested, a self-addressed, stamped envelope must be provided.

Online Payments

Power County is excited to announce that we are now accepting payments of court fines and fees online.
