Cost and Materials Information

The Power County Landfill is actually a Transfer Station with a Construction/Demolition (C&D) pit. We also have a brush pile/grass pile and a metal pile.

We charge for big trucks that have a load for the C&D pit, metal pile or brush pile. $45.00-semi, $35.00-10-wheeler, $15.00 bobtail truck. C&D items would include, but not limited to asphalt, concrete, wood, insulation, sheet rock, etc.

Everyone that brings Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) to the Transfer Station pays $45.00 per ton, however the first ton is free per day. MSW would be anything that comes out of a house, including but not limited to couches, chairs, carpet, clothes and everyday trash.

We charge for tires.

  • $1.50 light truck or car tires.
  • $3.50 light truck or car tire on a rim.
  • $6.00 truck tire.
  • $8.00 truck tire on a rim.
  • $20.00 for implement tires and tractor tires.

We charge $25.00 per ton for dead livestock.

We take refrigerators and batteries at no charge. We also take used motor oil and anti-freeze in household amounts. Please help us keep recyclable items out of the MSW stream and be willing to separate your loads.

Power County also grinds the brush pile and we sell that end product for $1.00 a yard, loaded.
